Serbia and World Change

I used to be skeptical about the power of one individual.  I was skeptical about what one person could do to impact the world for Christ.  I was skeptical until I learned about multiplication.

One person is nothing but a vapor—a blip on the radar of Time.  But if a person decides to give their life to impact a few individuals, that blip can change the world.  Imagine if a Christ follower spent a whole year investing their time, love, and energy in another person.  He teaches that person, serves that person, lives as a picture of Christ for that person, and most importantly, equips that person to go and do the same.  Imagine that the next year they both go and do the same with two new individuals.  What started as disciple became two which would then become four and eventually look like this.

Year 34 is hypothetical.  It is hypothetical because there are not that many people on the planet (yet).  One dedicated person invested in someone else and the whole world turned upside down.

This is Igor, a student at a Bible school in Serbia, where a team of us just taught discipleship for a week.  He won’t do it alone, but I think he can change the world.
